Pasta, Pasta and more Pasta
The other day I put up a question on facebook asking, ‘It’s ok to drink wine everyday.. right?’
I should also be asking the question, ‘It’s ok to eat some form of pasta everyday.. right?’ Haha, I’ve been in Italy now for about 5 weeks and I think I’ve had either pasta or pizza at least once.. everyday. I mean, it could be that I just love pasta...

2 Weeks in Italy.. complete!
Well, my first two weeks in this new city have passed, and everything is finally in order. Originally, I had only booked 2 weeks here in Bologna - because I wanted to be able to possibly find a cheaper apartment and/or school. What I wasn’t anticipating was that there would be a bazillion other students trying to do the same thing as me right now. I don’t to bore anyone with...
Oh Italy..
Well. I made it. I finally made it to the country that I’ve been looking forward to going back to since I last left 6 years ago. For those who don’t know, I was here for a summer when I was 17 years old. My Dad sent me to a city close to Bergamo and I worked in a factory and just lived a somewhat Italian lifestyle while I was there. I didn’t enjoy it all that much when I was...

Goals for 2011
Well I had a great time with my brother here in Germany, and it was sad to see him leave on Saturday, but it’s time to start the New Year! Unlike most people, I usually don’t like to throw out ‘resolutions’ for the New Year. Instead, I try to set goals that I want to achieve this year. This habit comes from my parents forcing us to list out our goals every year when we...

Holiday time with Miles
One of the hardest things about being overseas is being so far away from your family. Not only the distances, but the time differences make it seem like the family is a million miles away. At this time I would also like to thank the creator of Skype for coming up with probably one of the coolest programs ever made. Skype has really been a life-saver whenever I’ve been feeling a little...
Finishing up our Christmas dinner with so much satisfaction. Oh and by the way, the stuffing coming out of the Turkey was awesome - don’t hate.

Life Update! (mit Deutsch!)
Once again.. It has been way too long since my last update. This time around, a lot has actually happened. Let’s see if I can remember everything..
So a week after my last post, we had a big group get together to go to a nice ‘classy’ bar. The bar was called 20&Up - except I’m not really sure why. Maybe, because the bar was 20 stories up. Anyways, we were told to...

Europe?? Why??
After introducing myself and telling people where I’m from, the most asked question that I get is, “..umm, so why are you here?” Now, I know that it’s not normal for someone to just fly off to another country for the sole purpose of learning a language, so maybe I should go ahead and talk about why I’m here.
For those who have met me more than one time, most...

I'm Loving It
Ich liebe es.. ! <— So that would be McDonald’s tagline here in Germany. Ya, so anyways, after the most random start to a blog post in the history of blogs.. let’s talk about life.
My life here has been about the same the last two weeks (yes, I know.. it’s been too long since my last post..) I’m actually getting ready to take a test that will move me onto...
So I bought a Scarf...
Finished with week 1… again! I’m back in Hamburg and into the flow of things again. Another week of classes, another weekend, and a whole lot of fun. I’m downloading the season finale of Mad Men right now - so I’ll go ahead and talk about my 9th week in Hamburg.
On Monday I had to go sign up for classes again, and was excited they told me that I could be put into the...
Happy Birthday to me
Well I’m sitting here watching the Rangers lose right now, so I’m not sure how coherent this whole post will sound - but I’m frustrated with they way they are playing and need to get my mind off of a possible playoff meltdown. So anyways - I’ve had an unbelievably eventful last two weeks and now I’m back in Hamburg where I feel so comfortable. How did I get...

Bremen, Oktober, HSV v STP (cont...)
Ok.. so part 2 of the longest post in the history of blogs.. If you haven’t read part 1 of this blog.. go here
Anyways - so after spending the day in Bremen, we came back to Hamburg at around 7oclock. I came back and was incredibly tired, but I made sure to skype with my mom and send my brother a message before I took a much needed nap. I woke up at around 9 and was ready to take on the...
Bremen, Oktober, HSV v STP
Alright so yesterday I was skyping with my Mom and she told me that she wasn’t too happy with my last post not having any pictures - so I’m going to make sure and include some this time around.
It was another good week here in Hamburg. I got a bit sick this week and well I was told about 15 times this week that girls seem to handle colds much better than guys do. I scoffed at this,...

Football Football Football!
I am so excited for today. Fall weekends in Texas have to be like Christmas weekend to the rest of world. So when I decided to go on over to Europe for a year, I knew I would be missing my favorite time of the year - Fall football Saturdays and Sundays. So in order to prepare myself, I went ahead and bought a Slingbox (yes I know, I’ve put this link up like 10 times, but it is such an...

I Miss Country Music..
I just made a playlist on grooveshark with all country music because I needed a little homegrown music in my life. The music here is awesome and I love the constant dance-themed styles, but I’ll never stop loving some good ol country music. (Free - Zac Brown Band)
Anyways - I know I haven’t made a text post in a while, but I’ve also been posting photo-blogs, so if you...

Time for a Post
Sorry sorry sorry! Bitte Bitte Bitte! I haven’t posted in about a week and a half and well, it won’t happen again. The friends that I have made from Spain are set on seeing basically everything there is to see during their time in Hamburg and I’ve gone along for a couple of their excursions. Haha, this has been fun and I’ve seen and done a lot of things, but I’ve...
First Weekend in Europe!
Alright, so today is now Sunday, and I’ve been here for one week. I’m hoping that if every week is like this past week then I’ll be in for a very good time. So yesterday, I did a recap of basically how each one of my days goes. Since it’s Sunday now, I can tell some stories about my first weekend here.
So basically we have people from all over the world in my class. In...

Finished with week 1!
I wanted to wait to make another blog post until after my first week was over, so that I wasn’t just basically saying the same thing every day. So this post is basically going to be a giant recap of my entire first week.
Anyways - wow, it’s crazy how fast this week went by. I’ve almost been in Germany for a week and I felt like I was just landing and trying to avoid an...

First day of class
Well today was my first day of class at the Colon Language School here in Hamburg. It was a pretty good day overall. It was actually raining pretty hard and about 15 Celsius (60 F) and so it’s safe to say I was somewhat freezing after the 100 degree Texas weather I’m used to. Laura (the other student who shares this apartment with me) showed me the way to the school and we...

Arrived! Settling in...
Well I’m here!! My flight went out at 2:40pm DFW time, 9 hour flight, and I landed at 7:00am Frankfurt time. I then zoomed through customs and somehow found the train station with very little struggle. Advice #1 - when at an airport and you feel lost - stop moving and look up at the signs. Airports have a million signs that tell you where anything and everything is. So before you start...

Tomorrow Tomorrow
Well, tomorrow’s the big day! I thought I would wait until tomorrow morning to post another deal, but I realized there’s no way I’m going to have time to do it then. So, I’m just going to go ahead and post now.
I think I’m ready. Basically I’ve spent the last two months working, having fun, getting ready to go, and just trying to make the most of my time. I...
Random Recordings from CT 325
So during my senior year at Baylor I got a recording software for my computer that included an Autotuner. It’s safe to say we went a little crazy with the program. I posted a video about 4 months ago with one of the songs we made. Anyways, I’m going to go ahead and upload all the songs we did. So the next couple of posts are going to be songs that we made this past semester at...
Update City
So I’m officially, um, 11 days away from leaving the country? Yea, you could say that I’m getting fairly excited, nervous, anxious, freaking out, etc.. I’m going to first update some changes to the trip and then update what’s been going on with my life.
First off, I’ve made a few changes to what all is going to be going on with my Euro Trip. The main thing is that...

Step 1 - Complete!
Well I’m officially going to Europe. Ever since I talked about this decision with my family I’ve had this small feeling that it could still not happen. Even after they agreed to it and I found the schools I was going to go to and the companies I would work for. There was still that feeling in the back of my head that I would not be going to Europe this Fall. Well yesterday I bought...

Purpose
So here’s the deal - I am always saying that I’m going to start blogging more because it let’s me get a few things off my mind. I also just enjoy talking and just stating my opinion.
Anyways - I say all that simply because I highly doubt that’s what this blog is going to be. I found Tumblr yesterday while I was looking through the top entrepreneurs under 25 years old. I...
Anyone else?
Oh, and I also want to ask if anyone else is using Tumblr? If so, let me know!
Starting Out
Alright, so I’m trying to test out this whole Tumblr thing. I’m pretty sure this could turn into the coolest thing in the world - but let’s try to figure out a few things first…
